Creating a New App

An App ID in Ditto functions like a tenant in the traditional cloud sense. It serves as a unique identifier for each distinct application environment, isolating data, and configurations within that specific context.

This separation ensures that each tenant (or App ID) has its own dedicated resources and space, allowing for secure and organized management of data synchronization and peer-to-peer connections across different projects or clients.

Users create and manage App IDs via their Personal Account or their Organization.

To Create a new App ID

1. Click Create Organization.

2. Enter the Name of your organization and, if available, the Organization Website URL.

3. Click Create Organization.

4. Click Let’s Create an App!.

5. Enter a Name and a slug for your App URL.

6. Select your **App Visibility **preference.

7. Click Create App.
